not your daddy's buick ...
The Nelson Motorsports race cars are modified Buicks based on the Terminator Chassis design by Mark Elliott
of Webster City, Iowa. The race cars are propelled by any of a variety of engines, including Chevy small block
355, 383, and 406's. Dale Woodard, car 04 driver and owner of DW Engines, is responsible for most of the race
engine preparation and assembly.
There are many items in and on these race cars that we cannot discuss in detail, such as the 1.21 gigawatt
flux capacitor, solid rocket boosters, military spec GPS navigation system, and Department of Energy approved
nuclear reactor core. The reactor, by itself, is capable of supplying the entire state of California with enough
power for 183 years. We prefer, however, to expend that energy during race night ;)
Can your daddy's Buick do that? Gentlemen, start your engines!
